White House Gardens Relocating from Cornelius to Denver Spring 2024

DENVER, N.C. — White House Gardens is moving from the east to the west side of Lake Norman this March.

One of the largest independent fountain and outdoor decor outlets in the Southeast, White House Gardens will be relocating its store on West Catawba Ave. in Cornelius, where its operated for nearly 30 years, to Highway 16 in Denver in a partnership with The Red Barn Marketplace, an interior decor and design store.

Beginning mid-March, The Red Barn Marketplace location at 1612 N. Highway 16 will become home to White House’s vast selection of outdoor decor including water fountains, statuary, furniture, planters and pottery. White House Gardens and The Red Barn Marketplace will both occupy the location to combine for an extensive collection of indoor and outdoor decor for both home and business.

White House’s relocation is taking place over a couple months. Owner Chris Smiley anticipates the Cornelius store to remain open through April while his team gets acclimated to their new Denver storefront.

“The new Denver location will give us a more retail friendly setting,” says Smiley. “We’ll be bringing in new lines and different products that will add to the impressive selection of outdoor decor we’ve always carried. The displays will also be a little more condensed and organized than we’ve seen, giving our staff greater opportunity to provide customers with our friendly and knowledgeable service.

“I’m excited about the growth potential in the Denver area for our 30-year-old business,” Smiley added. “And I’m happy we’ll continue to be located in the Lake Norman area to remain a short drive for our current customer base while giving us an opportunity to attract new customers.”

White House Gardens will post updates on the transition at whitehousegardens.com and on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Customers are encouraged to visit both locations through March and April until further notice; if there’s a specific product of interest, feel free to call ahead for information on availability and location.
